I love this dress, but I wonder, can a real person actually wear this? e.i. someone who is averaged size... I mean there is a giant flower slap dab in the middle of your body.... but the yellow is awesome!

In love with Tulle

A few days ago I was online window shopping and reading blogs when I stumbled onto this gorgeous blue, one shouldered dress by Tulle. I immediately went to the online shop in search of this dress. I wasn't too eager as I figured the price would be ridiculous.... but NO! It was a great price! I went to put into my cart and with a touch of a button popped up: OUT OF STOCK. boo. whimper. sad face.

I moved on. I guess out of sight, out of mind, huh? Well wouldn't you know, I happened to pop into Corazon during my lunch break walk today to find that they carried the exact dress! AND in my size! AND it was cheaper! While I didn't have my wallet on me, I put it on hold to go back to... VICTORY!

and well, wouldn't you know, the time is calling. Gotta go get my dress! :)

I am saddened by the tragic loss of Alexander McQueen this week. He was a most inspired designer and major icon in the fashion industry.

80's licious

"The 80's called... and they want their sunglasses back" is TOTALLY something I would say to someone who would be wearing these glasses.... BUT upon further inspection.... (ahem, trying them on and oogling over how 80's licious I look) I decided to buy them! I needed some new shades for my trip I am taking... and WHO could go wrong with a pair of Betsey Johnson sunglasses for $10.00!? :)

Grammys Best Dressed

I am totally shocked to say that my favorite outfit at the grammys was on Pink! ah! crazy, yes I know- But I just LOVE the fade and the great details all over the dress.
I was a bit shocked to see her go pretty much sans clothes for her performance, though her voice (and bod) were pretty amazing! Above is the 'g rated' version!

I thought I would show off some of my process photos of my newest earrings. I decided when I bought these gorgeous orange carnelians that they were going to be mine- forever! Project Runway Sixth Episode

***SPOILER ALERT***
This episode gave the designers a lot of creative freedom and it was great to see what each person could dream up in their heads. I personally LOVED the outfit that Chris (MN designer!) made and I LOVED his story line- a vampiress who falls in love with a man and must decide to wed him and turn him into a vampire or just runaway and leave her love forever. It totally falls in line with all the twilight-esque movies, books, and shows out there right now. I didn't think the actual winning look by Nicolas was really all that great NOR did I like the person they kicked off this episode. I was really shocked that Ramon got the boot, especially since he is from MN! I think Louise should have gotten the axe, considering she picked her own genre/style and couldn't produce!

The fourth installment of PR

***SPOILER ALERT!***

Late last night I was happy to see that Project Runway was airing reruns at midnight so I didn't have to try to track down the episode today. What I wasn't happy about is that I stayed up until 1:30 am to watch such a boring episode! (yes, I do watch models of the runway as well....) It seems that whenever there is a model challenge, all the designers just, well, kind of suck! I did have a few that I liked, but maybe in another color... also I must rant: what is it with all these models walks? Is the runway fierce strut being replaced with sloppy, slow run down the runway? Anyway, this week we finally say goodbuy to poor construction and boring ol' idea Qristyl. (Dang that was hard to spell!)

I just saw this collection over at Freshly Blended (great blog!) and it is TOO GOOD to not post here. I wish I could have every one of these dresses. I am sad that the designer and store is located in Brazil.

Project Runway Premieres today!

Project Runway has to be one of my favorite shows. I am so happy the newest season is finally premiering tonight! There are even TWO contestants from Minnesota! I can't wait to see if they are any good!

You can even vote for your favorite designer on lifetime after each episode. Unfortunately I can't get the designer's portfolios to work so I will just have to keep waiting to see each designers' personality tonight!

How sweet is it that the TWO MINNESOTA DESIGNERS were the TOP TWO! Love it! WOOT! A bit shocked that they kicked off Arie so fast. Crazy but at least interesting!
