Recycled Notebooks

I created these new little notebooks for the craft shows I did. I just listed them Etsy! I hope they sell because I don't want a million little notebooks laying around! (of course I did make some for myself already!)

The paper on the inside of the notebook is paper that was in my very large recycle bin. I took the paper and folded it in half so that the image (what was previously printed on it) was on the inside and the cut all the paper to size and bound it on the sides that were loose. This technique is called japanese folding. I really like the effect you get with the hint of color showing through the top of the book!

Each notebook will be a OOAK (one of a kind) since all the papers are recycled!

Crafted Together Art Show

In the last three weeks I did two craft shows. The first one was Craftstravaganza and I am sorry to say that it was SO COLD when it was time to pack up I just started filling my boxes as fast as possible and didn't get any pictures! But at my second show, Crafted Together, I had the same set up and I made sure to get pictures before the show even started. Both shows made out pretty well but I wished I had done better. Doesn't everyone?! I love all the wonderful comments I receive about my stationery, it really brightens my day! I also debuted my wedding line at both shows and the invitations were really well received! I gave out lots of business cards to people who were getting married or had a good friend that was getting married. Lets hope I get some emails soon!

Living in MN is like being in an abusive relationship

Seriously! One day Minnesota is all nice and cuddly, oh so warm and sunny out. And the next day WHAM! it is screaming 6" of snow down your throat! Will winter ever end? It is already spring and we got 6" of snow last week and another 6" forcast in a few days. Minnesota, won't you please be nice to me? I don't want to have to leave you!

Deer Spotting

As I was looking around my room trying to find the perfect angle to take pics of my freshly redone studio I glanced out the window and saw one of the 9 deer that hang out in our yard daily. She looked over right as I was taking the picture and seemily posed for me!

Just Another Day- Rebranded

So much has happened since I posted last! Seriously where do all the days go!? I have been really busy working on custom orders and such on and off Etsy and pretty soon here I will be getting ready for Craftstravaganza and the Crafted Together Art Shows! I sure will be beat after those two back to back weekends!

To help myself prepare I told myself, 'Courtney, you will HAVE an official logo designed before then!' And I did! I went through quite a few rounds of logos and being a designer makes it extremely hard to pick a direction and just stick with it. I picked another one first and then two weeks later decided that I needed to keep working and came up with the lovely design above (my logo is just the type, this is an image of my whole business card). I really love just simple typography as I don't want my logo to go out of style next year. I think this logo can last me a while :D

Bird Buttons

These cute little birdie buttons made it into my shop yesterday. What a great way to start off spring! You can cluster these little 1" pins onto a shirt or bag or spread them amongst your friends.
