Three New Dresses and a Sun Burn!

I had a very busy weekend. I went to the farmers market and got more focaccia to make bruschetta, I went shopping and I went to an baseball game where I got a massive sunburn on my shoulders! (ouch!) Okay, so maybe that doesn't sound like a lot, but I felt certainly busy. (maybe it was the 4 hour nap I took on Saturday afternoon....hmm.)Anyway, during my shopping adventures I got the top two dresses from old navy. both for only $50 total! They grey dress is the softest material, I happen to be lounging in it now! The black and white dress I got from Target for only $19!! What a sophisticated dress for target! I can't belive my awesome find!

I promise to update my shop with new jewelry and stationery soon. I have a ton on my plate right now and my shop has been getting the shaft.

Red Shoes!

These are my new red shoes! I am excited, can't you tell! I love flats and have them in various colors already! It is even more perfect that I found these ones for $19.00 thanks to my lovely friend Marnie (who already owns a pair!). She always has on the cutest clothes and shoes! She must be one of the most stylish people I know. Thanks for the tip Marnie!

Farmer's Market Veggies = Delicious Fajitas

This weekend at the farmers market, I bought slew of veggies to cook with!!! (excuse my late post on this topic as my internet is lame and didn't work yesterday) On Saturday night I made bruschetta for dinner. It was to die for! We had also picked up a loaf of focaccia bread so we just threw it in the oven on broil for about 5 minutes and it was ready to go! YUM! Don't you just love fresh veggies in the summer?! There is no better combination!
On Sunday night I made cilantro and lime fajitas and some pico de gallo. And what compliments a mexican dish better than dos equis?! What a great combo! I would love to share the recipe with you all, but I don't really cook from recipes, I just throw a bunch of stuff together and taste it as it goes! So here is my sorta recipe:

Fajitas
---
diced chicken
handful of cilantro
lime (half cut into slices, other half squeezed onto chicken)
thin sliced jalapenos
thin sliced red, yellow, orange peppers
thin sliced onions

I then put them into tinfoil and onto the grill for about 10-15 minutes!

Pico de gallo
---
diced onion
diced tomato
handful of cilantro
minced garlic
diced jalapenos

All into a food processor separately and then into a bowl to mix together!

I have found that I really enjoy cooking more if I just have a basic recipe to work from and then cater to my own taste buds!

Stationery

As some of you know, I am a full time Art Director (basically graphic designer) so I love to design on the computer. My dream some day after starting up my own design business is to design stationery for the few people who still love to hand write notes. I simply love to create random designs and patterns that I can not design in my ad agency (for fear of the client wondering what the hell I was thinking!) Etsy has given me a great opportunity to test the waters and see if anything will sell and so far I have had a decent response!

The stationery on the left is one of my more popular designs: Red Bird Blank Notecards

Enjoy!

Wooden Goddess Necklace

I created this lovely necklace this weekend on a whim!(you can purchase it here in my etsy shop!) I absolutely love it so much I will probably be creating it's equal for myself to keep! I love the direction that my new Nature Collection is going. I am having so much fun creating earth inspired jewelry! Enjoy!
